March 17, 2015 - Today USAID AKT-LS Program held its second information session in the Municipality of North Mitrovica. The venue of the event (Regional Community Resource Center in Mitrovica North) was packed with over 140 participants from the business sector and another 50 participant from the civil society organizations.
Advancing Kosovo Together – Local Solutions (AKT-LS) Program Begins With Grants Information Sessions in Six Kosovo Municipalities
March 16, 2015 - Today USAID’s AKT-LS Program gathered more than 40 representatives from business sector and civil society organizations of the Peja/Pec region, at the Program’s first Grants Information Session. This is the first of six information sessions that the Program will hold during this week in the following Kosovo municipalities: Mitrovica North, Vushtrri/Vučitrn, Gračanica/Graçanicë, Klokot/Kllokot and Štrpce/Shtërpce.
Introductory meeting with the Municipality of Kllokotit
Head of Citizen Engagement Component/DCOP Mr. Nenad Maksimovic, together with the Communication Coordinator Mr. Besnik Sherifi and Technical Engineer Mr. Viktor Djokic conducted a meeting with the Mayor of Klokot/Kllokot Mr. Srtecko Spasic. The timeline for the sending priority list of infrastructure project has been agreed and the municipality had pledged co-finance resources for the implementation of infrastructural project.

On January 16, 2015 The Head of Citizen Engagement Component/DCOP, together with the Communication Coordinator Besnik Sherifi and Technical Engineer Viktor Djokic conducted a meeting with the Mayor of Partes/Partesh Municipality Mr. Dragan Nikolic. This was a follow up meeting after initial meeting between DCOP and the mayor. The meeting was also attended by the representative of Women group from Partes/Partesh municipality and Director of Public Service and Safety, Director of Urban Planning, Cadaster and Geodesy and the Chief of Mayor's Cabinet.

On January 15, 2015 AKT – LS Program team including Head of Citizen Engagement Component/DCOP, Head of Business Development Component, Head of Municipal Development Component and the Technical Engineer have conducted a meeting with the Mayor of Ranilug/Ranillug Mr. Gradimir Mikic. The meeting was also attended by the representative of Women group from Ranilug/Ranillug municipality and head of Youth Council.

On Wednesday January 14, the Advancing Kosovo Together – Local Solution Team headed by Ms. Nermin Mahmuti acting CoP met with the Mayor of Istog Mr. Haki Rugova where AKT – LS program objectives were presented in order to align them with municipality priorities.
