In August 2005, the Netherlands Minister for Development Cooperation gave 4.000.000 USD to the Community Development Fund. The purpose of this grant was to:

1)    Improve the access and quality of community infrastructure and services in selected poor and war-affected communities in Kosovo, and
2)    Support the institutional capacity building at the municipal and community level through the promotion of public participation and sound resource management
